About us
Our educational approach reflects our deep commitment to both pedagogy and the well-being of each child. It is through these practices that our core values come to life, transforming our beliefs into meaningful actions that benefit not only the children but also the families and the dedicated team who together form our amazing community.

The concept of our nursery
The main language of communication throughout the nursery is French, and all educational programs conform to those of the French Ministry of Education. That said, we now also have a “Primarily-English-Language” stream. Therefore, at any age, children can join either the French stream or the Primarily-English-Language stream. “Click here to find out more about our pedagogical approach.

Our reception area is a canvas that transforms four to five times a year, offering a fresh and enchantingly immersive decor that delights the eyes of all, regardless of the age. Each new setting is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, captivate the imagination, and enrich the children’s vocabulary. These ever-evolving environments provide our educators with the perfect opportunity to ignite passion across all areas of learning, creating a dynamic and inspiring space for discovery at every turn. Furthermore, this concept showcases the importance we accord to stimulation and it portrays our passion beautifully. “Click here to see more about La Marelle’s continuously changing decor.”

As part of our strategies to build confidence when speaking in front of their peers, Loup (our mascot) takes turns spending the weekend with the children of La Marelle. This valuable experience helps them develop their self-assurance in a playful environment, paving the way for more comfortable expression in class when they recount their weekend with the mascot. “Click here to discover La Marelle's mascot: Loup.”
How we function?
La Marelle is a place of learning, curiosity and stimulation, with the aim of helping children to thrive. We welcome children into a safe space full of possibilities, enabling them to develop at their own pace and in harmony with their family environment.
-
Our ground floor welcomes children from the age of 0 to 3 years.
-
Our first floor welcomes children aged 3 to 5 years in our [“Petite Section” - PreKG], [“Moyenne Section” - KG1] and [“Grande Section” - KG2].
Our priority for newcomers is to support children in adjusting to separation from their parents in a gradual and caring manner. To ensure a smooth transition, we provide a dedicated adaptation period during the first week. This time allows both parents and children to become familiar with our environment, our team, and the daily rhythm of life at La Marelle.
The parent’s involvement does not end after the first week. We continue to offer a multitude of possibilities throughout the year for parents to be at the heart of their children’s growth.
The adjustment period
The adaptation period at La Marelle is a key step in the child’s transition from home to nursery. Our goal is to ensure that this separation process is smooth, gradual, and built on trust for both the child and their parents.

In the first days, parents will be asked to drop off their child for a short stay, with a return to pick them up after an hour. Gradually, the duration will increase, allowing the child to adjust at their own pace until they feel fully comfortable and at ease in the nursery. At La Marelle, we prioritize respecting the individual rhythm of each child and family.

During this familiarization period, your child will have the opportunity to participate in introductory activities, choose a bed for naptime, personalize their locker with a photo, and get accustomed to the changing area; among other things… all of which help them feel more secure and familiar with their new environment.

We also have an approach for this process that is inspired by the Snoezelen method.
The little extras of La Marelle
-
We've created a lively garden where children can get their hands dirty and let their imaginations run wild. From planting tiny seeds to watching them sprout, blossom, and bear fruit, every step is an exciting adventure. It’s a magical way to explore nature’s cycle, and maybe even taste the fruits of their hard work.

-
During the warmer months, we set up pools and incorporate water play into our daily routine, adding extra fun to the day.

-
Our beloved mascot, Loup, is at the heart of life at La Marelle. We’ve developed countless activities around him, which the children absolutely adore.

-
To ensure comfort, warmth, and good hygiene, we provide and encourage the use of adorable slippers in our indoor spaces.

-
We joyfully celebrate all French and local holidays, embracing multicultural traditions and creating festive moments that bring our community together.

-
Our "cahiers de vie" (life journals) serve as a constant link between the nursery and home, allowing parents to stay connected to their child’s daily experiences and milestones.
-
Throughout the year, we organize a variety of educational outings and enriching excursions in different fields that spark curiosity and broaden young minds.

-
We regularly host sessions with a professional sports instructor to promote physical development in a fun, safe, and playful environment.

-
To inspire a love for reading, we offer weekly book loans from our diverse library, nurturing imagination and creativity.

-
We care deeply for our planet, and sustainability is a key part of our values and teaching.

-
We actively participate in and even organize charitable events, involving the children whenever possible. One of our proudest initiatives supported less fortunate students in an African school, with both groups exchanging drawings and postcards—a heartwarming connection across the globe.
